Standing up for our rivers
Welcome to the Our Rivers Northern Ireland website. This is your chance to let Northern Ireland Environment Agency and Minister Poots know what you think of your local river. It is your chance to help shape the management plan of your local river, before they are finalised - the first in 2010.
Adopt your local river on this website to take part in the Our Rivers Campaign.
If you are revisiting the site having previously created your river file you can access it and do more for your river by Signing In.
Share your ideas for solutions on your local river. A peaceful walk, a white-knuckle raft ride, a spot of birdwatching, or an afternoon’s fishing for the one that got away, we all enjoy Northern Ireland’s rivers differently. Vital to Northern Ireland’s historical linen industry and still important to many businesses today, Northern Ireland’s rivers can even be forgotten about in a concrete jungle. This is your opportunity to adopt your local river. From recreation to business, it is you, the people of Northern Ireland who know the most about your local river. Now share it – it may help save your river!
